GERMAN APPLE BUNDT CAKE
2 cups Sugar |
3 tsp Baking Powder |
¼ cup Orange Juice |
1 cup chopped nuts (optional) |
1 cup Cooking Oil |
2 cups Apples |
2 ½ tsp Vanilla |
(peeled and diced) |
4 Eggs |
1 tsp Cinnamon |
3 cups Flour |
4 tbsp Sugar |
Beat together sugar, orange juice, oil vanilla and eggs with electric mixer at high speed. Sift together dry ingredients and then blend into first mixture. Fold in nuts. Place ⅓ of the batter in a greased Bundt® pan. Sprinkle with half of a mixture of the apples, sugar and cinnamon. Pour on another ⅓ of the batter. Sprinkle on the rest of the apple filling, and then top with the last ⅓ of the batter. Bake at 350° for 55-60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan upside down, and then remove from pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
